what is this and why is it in my oil?

After doing battle with the oil drain plug for about 3 days i finally got it open and found this in it. Any ideas? Valve seal?

Bike is the cb450
Cb 750 k3
Cb 450 dohc k4

It could be, although it looks a bit like an "O" ring to me. It could be worse, it could be a handfull of metal and pieces of clutch plate like what came out of the CB750 engine I'm rebuilding for Mike. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

there were little pieces of what appear to be rocks or dense metal in the oil, i have no idea. I'm sure i'll figure it out soon as the engine is probably going to get pulled apart later today.

Hmmnn, I'm guessing it'll be metal mate......... ;D

It was at the ex's house for a week after we broke up so don't so quick to discount pebbles in the crank case.
