I'm mounting Dunlop K70's right now and I see arrows showing direction (I think that's what it is...it's just a small arrow right before the word "Dunlop") but it doesn't say if it's for front or rear. See picture:

Does it matter which way I put it on? The LAST thing I want is to have to switch it. Might as well ask. Google didn't turn up any results.

Thanks

That is the Dunlop logo NOT a direction arrow.

I knew that, but as a designer with a very practical mind, I was thinking it's possible that Dunlop would use it as a directional arrow, too, haha.

Stev-o, not sure what you would call the Dunlop bike, but it looks to have been made from a Triumph. The ad was aimed at the British market riders (tyres vs tires) and note the British SU carbs.

Here’s a tidbit of info:  http://silodrome.com/12000cc-dunlop-joebody/

Very cool, thanks Dream.  Wish they hadn't cut off the end of the pipes...

HondaMan,

I read an earlier thread from you that discussed the TT100 for the 500/550 bikes.   In this thread you discussed various choices of tires for the 750 and I was wondering if you could offer your experiences / insights to the 550 riders when you have a moment?    I am doing a project on a 550 with about 8500 miles and will replace all bearings in front and back as well as progressive springs for forks with new oil and seals.    I sometimes ride 2 up, but mostly 1 and when solo like to play, but, no one would call me an aggressive rider.  Personally I don't mind moving away from the "vintage" look to get a good compromise (@#$*-- I hate that word ) for my riding.

The bike in the ad is a triumph trident with a huge motor superimposed.  That is not a functioning bike.  The front of the motor would interfere with the turning of the front forks.  It is hard to tell if the bike was actually built or the photo was just doctored.
