I'm glad to find a forum dedicated to single cam.  I bought the bike listed in my sig that was sitting on a guys driveway for 5 years without being started naturally there is a lot of corrosion and the carbs were a mess.  I cleaned up the carbs and rebuilt them but decided before I put a lot of money into this bike I'm going to build a shop to work on it in and have a place to park it out of the rain so I'm in shop building mode at the moment.  When I finish it, I'm going to get it running and check the compression to see  if I need to tear down the engine and if not, progress on to restoring the bike.  Looks like you guys have a lot of good info here and I'm looking forward to posting my build here!

Hey, we're in the same boat. Just something small, not big enough to attract an automobile. I figure on enough room to store three bikes, able to work on one of them, with tool and bench space. Problem is, I already have two bikes that should be parked indoors. Well, more than three. The more I think, the more room I need.

So for me, a hypothetical building attracts projects.

Hi Steve, Nice to know of a SOHC brother in Austin!  I'm in the Oak Hill area.  Shop is still in early stages so spring may be unlikely but we'll see.
