1976 honda 750f1 speedometer is 10mph fast
« on: March 06, 2014, 08:10:51 PM »
Any ideas how to fix this problem.  I am also looking for a left sidecover for my bike as well.  The original had a broken tab and flew off on the highway and was run over by a semi.  I am also having a hard time having someone make a key that fits.  Does anyone know where I can get some original type keys so I can make and extra one or two.

Lube the speedo cable.

How much you want to pay for a side cover? And do you want a painters set or one ready to go?

Hondakeys.com give them the number off your lock and they will send you a pre cut key.

My   K6750 reads high also, every time I check it against the radar speed signs in the neighbor hood 52mph indicated = 45 mph from the radar.

I never saw much difference after clean & lube of the cable, butthoonose, got to be worth a try.

Yeah, maybe 5mph high here but I figure that helps to keep me from getting tickets.
