Well done! You must be really pleased with it - it's great looking bike. I don't know why but I like that blue colour best on the 400s.

Were the wheels stock??

Those wheels are not stock it was a cheap fix until I have new spokes and rims put on the bike; but I do like them, made by A-R-E in England and are direct replacements, Got them off ebay from a shop in Mansfield.

I'd keep 'em. Makes the bike stand out and be a bit different. Easier to maintain, too.

nice one Dave.

I arrive back in the UK on Saturday and will be going for my first proper ride on mine on Sunday, I taxed it on the 1st Sept and flew to the US on the 3rd, didn't dare risk riding before we left.
If you want a home for those non-standard wheels after they would look good next to my non-standard exhaust  ;D ;D ;D

Nice job on the 400 biffta and I agree, the wheels look good where they are. If you do up the spoke wheels, I'd keep them on the side for originality.

Mick, I’ll be up at the barn now and then, if you see my bike look out for me, I won’t be too far away from it, you’ll probably hear me before you see me.

Mal, hope your enjoying your hols, you have first refusal on my alloy wheels once I have my old spoked wheels done, I have to get some bloke in Sam’s town to do the work on them he’s 80 odd but comes well recommended from the guy who tested my bike, he had a beautiful 650 BSA but never stopped asking about my 400, it took over 2 hrs to get my MoT! And then 40 min’s to put petrol in the tank, the guy at the next pump he’d had had 4 400’s and we got talking. I’ve spent more time talking with people than riding I’ve now done 15 miles but was out on the bike all afternoon!

Hi Dave, I'll PM my mobile number to you.

Perhaps Malc will come up if we set a date, I have two spare beds.
