Topic: did cb400f have ingitors?

Hi, I got a set of regulator/rectifier/ignitor off ebay for my 75 400f.  Thing is, I know the bike runs (even without the regulator), yet my bike doesn't seem to have this 'ignitor' part that came with my auction.  Can anyone tell me if the CB400f is supposed to have one, or why the auction seller would have pulled one off the donor bike if it doesn't belong there?  I'm confused. 

SPecifically, I'm talking about a CI-03 SHINDENGEN, such as...

CDI Capacitor Discharge Ignition. I don't think Honda started using them until the 80's. I know my 86 Honda B75 outboard had one. Its a step above a points/condensor system towards reliable electronic ignitions.

Your 400 is a plain old points/condensor system unless someone swapped it out for the electronic ignitor system like Dyna or Pamco.
