Gas/fuel tank rubber question
« on: March 20, 2014, 06:54:09 AM »
I have just bought a gas/fuel tank rubber, my question is does it fit on the tank or on the 2 hooks on the frame?
I have a 750K7

It seems to fit in both places but neither seems right. I have the triangle tab facing to the rear of the bike and on top.

At least on the earlier 750's the rubbers slide on the frame pegs then the tank slides onto the rubbers disc pads.

Apparently, you are talking about the single, large, rubber cushion at the end of the tank. It goes on the frame just like the two rubber cushions. The only rubbers that go on the tank are the two stopper rubbers. When you add the tank, pull that "rubber triangle" back to secure the tank.
Some guys always seem to have a problem putting the rubber on properly.  ;)
