G'Day Guys, my prices are as follows:

a. Adapter only. $75.00 US + $20.00 airmail to the US
b. Complete bolt on kit. $149.00 + $30.00 airmail to the US.

Cheers, Terry. ;D

Wow your work looks really nice. Do you mill these yourself?  Do you make an adapter for the SOHC CB650??? Does it convert to the spin on filter as well? What kind of turnaround time?

Thanks Nate, and yeah, I machine them out of billet aircraft alloy (6061 T6) myself. The one in the pics will fit any SOHC4 from the 350F thru to the mighty CB750, and the early DOHC 750/900 as well. Turnaround time? Well I try to finish your kit in the same week you pay me, but that depends on how many orders are ahead of yours? Shipping to the US takes a week to 10 days. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thank you, Terry, obviously they don't get their looks from me  :D

I might take you up on that offer, but it would be longer than a couple months, say when they get to the age that they are always right? ;D  Man, they're already starting, too:  They'll ask me something, then I answer to the best of my knowledge, then they reply "NO, Dad, its -----" whatever they think I should have answered. ::)  Gotta love 'em though!

I now have a Terry "down-under" oil cooler on my 1975 CB550. That machined adapter is a work of art.  It fit very well, the whole setup looks real fine, and it all works so well in HOT Phoenix, Arizona.  But hey, where can I find the braided chrome lines? They would look excellent if someone has info on purchasing them!  Thanks - write to naconway@cox.net.  Cheers! - AL

I also wanted the stainless braid since my lines were going to be real close to the headers. There are several companies out there offering braided stainless lines - Chaparral, Dennis Kirk, ect, but beware. I ordered their chrome ends and hoses, but I had a hard time getting the ends on the braided hose because it kept slipping down on the hose. The ends cannot be opened far enough to easily clear since they are surrounded by the chrome cover. A local Harley/custom shop had a roll of 3/8" stainless braided hose that was much higher quality and the braid would not slide down as it was bonded to the rubber and the weave was a lot tighter. I paid less than $10 for the 24" of hose and approx $12 for the ends.

I'd suggest going by a local custom shop and see if they'll work with you on the hose. Cutting it requires wrapping duct or electrical tape tightly over the area and then using a fine hacksaw blade. The tape worked wonders in keeping the wire from fraying.

Good luck with it.
Regards,
Gordon

G'Day Gordon, you couldn't send me a few yards of that braided line, could you? The stuff here costs a fortune! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Gordon,

Thanks, I'll head for a Harley shop and get the lines.  Plenty of dealers in AZ.  Also thanks for the tape with hacksaw tip.  On the CB550, I did need to mount the cooler higher, just behind the horn (pulled the horn out some), to give some flexibility to the hoses.  They were too close to the exhaust pipe if the cooler was mounted any lower.  I used some black ties to fasten the lines to the frame down-tubes.  Probably fits better on a CB750 (wider frame?).  The CB550 installation doesn't look too bad, but chrome/stainless braided lines would look much better.

Terry, too bad the braided stuff is expensive down there!  Come here with a empty suitcase to get some! ;)

Cheers,
A.

Terry, I'd be glad to. Let me find out what the cost per foot is and I'll email you the result. I've got to go over on Saturday as we're fitting/welding my CB750's frame bolt-in pieces together. The machinist is supposed to be done with all 8 pieces tomorrow. I've got to fix this here missing piece.

Be thinking about how much you want/need. This line is far better than what I got through chaparral.

Regards,
Gordon

Thanks Gordon, I'd like to do a few coolers with that stuff, it does look cool, but stupid prices here prevent me from using it as much as I'd like?

And when you get a chance post some more pics of that frame mod, we all argued about it a few months ago, so I'd like to see how yours turns out? Cheers, Terry. ;D
