Spaghetti harvest

Tomorrow is the annual spaghetti harvest time it looks as if the crop may not be as good this year although the BBC is not predicting failure

A long time ago in a land far away I was parked  in front of the eye and I hadn't seen the first part of it and  all of a sudden it clicked, spaghetti harvest, on trees "hey Mom it doesn't grow on trees does it?" Nah,  completely taken in. I saw it again from the start and realized the Beeb was having fun but it did have me going for a bit.

I saw the same Beeb news item at the same time. Wasn't taken in by it either.

The Irish Times (that erstwhile journal of record) was taking the michael this morning also :

Take a look at the first few minutes of French Connection 2 to see the coppers become a victim of Poisson d'Avril. Popeye gets a laugh at their expense.
