Bill.............I'll be traveling your way on a return trip from Florida...........June 20th or a few days later. My brother lives in Acworth and I'll be with my Brother-in-law picking up a new enclosed trailer at a nearby dealer.  So, don't package that F2-head.........I like free postage ;D  If you won't be around, I'll send my brother to get it.  More later..........

Hey Bill...I bought a 69 KO project from Scrambler last October. The stator cover looks like it hit the grinder for a few miles. Have you got a scratch free stator cover I can polish up there? If so, give it to Scrambler and I can PayPal you. Let me know and I will hold off looking until I hear from you.
Thanks
Johnie

Bill...you can hold off on the stator cover. Dennis thinks he may have a few at his place. I will get back to you if his will not work :)
Thanks

Yeah, yeah ,yeah, blame me for you getting addicted to burning rubber and race gas. No rehab here buddy!!! Lol.

VMP is a nice track. The only potential issue is weather related. If it rains, you may as well pack up and leave. Water seeps up from under the track and they can never dry it all back up. It even has a dewatereing system installed but it just doesn't help. Other than that, as along as the sun stay out all weekend, its a decent facility. As far as hotel accommodations, we stayed at a low buck hotel about 8 miles from the track. At the main exit to VMP off I-85, there are a few hotels but I've already involuntarily purged my mind of the names. Not a lot of eating places at that exit as I recall. And you know we like to eat!!! So, I can't give any recommendations on places to stay- check the track website as they do have a few listed that offer discounts for racers.

As of this moment, my presence at the SGMP Cup race does not look promising.
