good question Ernie. I think its a UK term, but where the 100 comes from I don't know. Imperial ton is 2240 lbs or 1,016 kg, U.S. ton is 2000lbs.

Now if you read the article that cbj posted, you will be gobsmacked to know that we have a similar club over here and girls go faster than that jurno.
Our fastest is a dutchman by the name of Frank, who ran 265mph a few month ago.
