Yeah I got the front sprocket from bike bandit. The rear I'm leaving for now. If I want I can get it from BB as well. I do have one more question though. While I have the oil pump out are there any mods worth doing? I ported out the pump body (send and return) on my high compression street car engine, because the factory sohc pump body has very small ports and can starve modified engines of oil. Just figured I'd ask.

the stock pump wont starve your engine of oil, they supply plenty, you might want to knock any obvious casting dags off the in and outlet passages, check the body to rotor clearance, check the action of the relief valve,if you try and increase its output youll probably start leaking o rings at the head to cylinder?

its common to soup up or replace with hi volume stock oil pumps on some auto engines if your really going to be spending time at rpms above the stock limit, running larger bearing clearances or similar?the entire oiling system on some get a few modifications aswell depending on what short comings some had, this isn't needed on the 500/550s,just keep fresh quality oil changed short of the recommended schedule in the motor and itll be fine,if the engine is ever apart be sure those restrictors that form the barrel to case dowel are well clear, dont enlarge them!(DOH!why did I mention that?)
