Oh, I read POS( piece of sh1t) , not Previous Owner'S. I'm still not sure what is happening here, kinda sounds like there could be a comfort issue with the gripless bars, but surely the inflatable seat  cover  would offer a cloud like ride, so heavenly infact , that the rider may not notice that there are no hand grips at all.
of course I could be wrong about this.
maybe it's  the skyward pointing headlight, easy adjustment . Paint looks good from here.
Okay , I'm all out of guesses, what's the problem with this machine or the previous owner?

Oh oh oh , I got it, it's that extra capacity fuel line  right? 3 feet of line so when your tank gets bone dry, you can still make it to a station . Is that it?

No worries, just fix em one at a time. I think you bought it well.

I'm a little confused , are you mad at the PO or yourself?
You looked at the bike, and made an offer on it based on your inspection, he accepted the offer.
There are obvious flaws that you can see by looking at it, it's not the POs fault that you didn't see them.
It's not like you were buying the bike sight unseen and he told you it was in original condition .

I did not notice where he was bashing the PO just mentioning that he wished he had inspected it a little closer. Maybe a tad bit of buyers remorse but nothing he can't work through fairly easily.

This is it  not bashing him just needed to look better. I had a 1976 cb550f for 27 year's and someone liked it more then me and it was gone from my garage. I can fix's this bike but wont be riding this year, that right side cover going to be hard, I cant see paying $100 for one so really just venting and looking for some help with this bike Thanks

Right side covers are not $100.  Which one? Body or engine??

Luckily those body sidecovers sometimes get deleted when guys do a custom build and want that clean open frame look. Not sure if that is stock paint, color may be hard to match exactly but bet they show up around. Try an add here in our 'Wanted' section when you get a list of needed goodies.

Maybe that wasn't always an F. Doesn't the F use a different brake lever to account for the header?

Body right side battery cover. Dont care about the color I'm a body and painter by trade, anyways  can I change the valve cover gasket without pulling the engine. but wait I think I going to take it all apart sand the frame paint it and  Polish the Aluminum on the engine and carb and then paint the bike.

get it running right, first, then disassemble for paint.
yes, you can do the valve cover while the engine is still in the frame.
