Got a 78 CB750 today serial number confusion
« on: June 08, 2014, 06:47:57 PM »
No pics yet.  Its on the trailer still.  VIN is clean.  the issue is is this a canadian or amrecian model??

CB750 K8    1978    May 1977 – May 1978
USA          3000001 – 3062980    2800001 – 2862980
Canada          3001934 – 3061938    2801946 – 2861935

I have a 2803 start to vin and a 3002  on the motor.  I was confused cause it has the right seat, but came with 4 into 1 exhaust and what looks like the back cowl to a F seat in the parts bin.  No rear disk, single front brake, and the plate is gone.  So is the actual title.

I got almost the whole bike, enough to run....with pods.  I was hoping for a airbox.  oh well.  I also paid a low $225 for it. ;)

Without cross referencing the serial numbers in my books I'm going to just say K  ;)

Check out CSMNL.com. They have the most extensive serial number reference I have seen.

Speedo in KPH or MPH? Speedos can be changed just like exhausts.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
