77 CB75F (750E motor ) Keihin carbs leaking
« on: June 14, 2014, 09:46:16 PM »

My Keihin 41 mm carbs ( outer ) are leaking through the little brass air hole at rear mouth of carb facing air cleaner. It is hole associated with main jet. The float bowls fill up to proper level, then the leaking starts. I have sprayed all passages with carb clean. I have replaced floats and needles, and made sure needles went in clean.
The last time i hade carbs off the motor, I left the rubber boots on the motor. When putting carbs back on motor, they would not go on easy, so i lubed boots with silicone and still had to gently tap carbs on with a hammer. I just hope i did'nt cause any internal damage to those two outside carbs. Has anyone had a similar experience ?

Sounds like you need to adjust the float height. It sounds like they are not closing the valves all the way.
