« on: June 19, 2014, 07:58:28 AM »
I have a lead on a bike.  Can u put a 550F rear tire on a 1976 CB750K and ride it 75 miles?

Its too far from you you might get lost.  If you were from the big city like Lenoir you might be able to find your way home.  Grew up summers on lake James right across from the episcopal church down from Mimosa boat dock.  First job was in Lenoir.   Next time I go mtn riding i will let you know.

Just a tire or the whole rim/wheel ??  Both use an 18" rear tire.  Trailer or truck sounds safer though for the first ride  ;)

I seemed to find my way home from Southern Pines for work yesterday just fine. I even took a different route back to Asheboro than usual. I'm pretty sure I can do it. ;D
Some friends and I rode up to the Bear Claw bar and back around the bottom side of the lake two weeks ago. Pretty fun ride.
Big city of Lenoir... ::)

Regarding swapping a wheel out I would guess it would work but don't know about the width of the hub/swing arm/brake linkage etc.
Is the new bike missing a rear wheel?
