whats it worth
« on: June 19, 2014, 08:33:44 AM »
Need an opinion on what this bike is worth.  Has all the original parts including the side covers except the handlebars.  The bars in the photo do not look original.  Bike sarts and runs.  All the essentials work and except for the back tire I could ride it home.1976 with 31K on the clock.

In the Seattle area, bikes like those WITHOUT a title - $500-1500
Double those figures if it has a title.

I pulled this one with a title, fairing, and bars out of a barn for under $500.

What's the location? Tough to spitball without.

Are some of the parts are in a box? There are pieces missing, such as the rear fender ...

The bones don't look half bad - in the West (Montana, ND, WY, etc.) you'd prob be around $600-$700 ... $800 if you found a really motivated buyer - but that's assuming a clean title.

W/O a title, maybe $400-450.

But even the pretty ones go cheap here.

If it was some POS Harley  you'd probably get $2000 out of it in these parts  :o.

Shoot for the stars. The more you get, the happier we all are on our bikes values.

Id start at $2000 in your area and see what kinda low ball offers you get.

I agree, titled and running it seems like a $1K bike to me, especially if the mufflers are in generally good condition.

Clean the carbs, tires, brakes and battery cost a grand. Paint and missing parts, plan accordingly. You've been around here a while, you get it.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
