hello,

I'm 'parakeet'. I just recently bought a CB400F Super Sport. I'm excited to connect and also learn from other Honda owners on this site as this is my first bike.

Welcome....looks like a very nice example. Is it a runner?  Please check the tires, they look very old.

They're a little dirty, but I'm pretty sure they're not OLD by any means. I'll check them out though.

Welcome to the site mate, and wow your bike is in good nick too. Sometime I wish I had started my project with a bike in that good a shape haha.
Any plans for it?

Great first bike mate, plans should be to keep it as is and ride the heck out of it.

You certainly picked up a beauty of a bike for your first. As Stev-o said, those tires appear to be quite old. Check for the production date on the sidewall. From their appearance, I'd bet they are more than 5 years old. Also check for cracks in them. It would be a major shame to hit the pavement with that bike due to old tires.

will do. Any recommendations for tires? I'm also interested in checking out the available modifications I could make down the road. Say, if I wanted to change the exhaust at some point, or possibly install a fairing on the front, what website should I use to order the parts?

Yeah I don't plan on modding the hell out of it or turning it into a 'project' bike per say, but I am looking to do some modifications here and there, but yes, it's going to be my daily driver until riding seasons ends and it snows 20 inches

Bridgestone, Avon and Dunlop all make great tires.  Change exhaust?  The 400F has the sexiest swooping header Honda ever designed.  Is the muffler stock and rusted?

Hello fellow Parakeet 400f! I also just joined after purchasing a 77' 400f. Starting the rebuild now. Engine was seized and missing some parts. Stoked to tap into the knowledge of the members.

Looks like a great 400f to start with!  Would that my 76 was as nice to start. Welcome to the forum.
