Is drive side the sprocket side or clutch side?

I imagine drive = chain?

Do you mean leaks when parked or running?
Pull the shifter off, remove the screws and cover off the final drive and forward chain gear. Your oil pump is there and so is a puck under the chain that ( crankcase seal).

Most guys have recently changed to an Oring  type chain and it's scrubbing the crankcase seal.
or possibly a beat shifter seal , but unlikely.
Other guys didn't tighten up a plug in the oil pump and it worked it's way back out.
We have seen some cracked lower cases due to a thrown chain.
Or a final drive seal failed.
Either of these things could be possible....Take it apart, take pictures and post them.
We need to see what you are talking about. If it  leaks when parked , it could be as simple as an oil pan gasket.

I thought orings were too big and punched holes in cases.

That would be the worst news for my bike ever.  I certainly hope that is not the case.

Pull the cover and post some photos so we can help identify the source of the leak better.

The width of the oring chain on 550's is the issue.  There is a rubber plug just in front of the drive shaft, and the sides of the oring wear thru the case and this plug.
A spacer is needed under the drive sprocket to give oring chains the clearance needed if you're going to run them, or, once the damage is fixed, run a standard chain.

If this is NOT the source of your leak, it soon could be  :o

Here is the oil leak.  Where do I get another seal?  And how do I avoid this is the future?  I installed an o-ring chain.  Can I just space it out a bit?

Partzilla.com is where I get most of my OEM parts. As for the spacing, I'm not sure if it's possible. You'd have to space both the front and rear sprockets to keep them inline. I'm sure a search here would turn up more than a few folks that ran into the same issue.

it looks to have worn right through the rubber coated metal of the seal plug?ive seen a few rubbed but not right through, check around the oil pump while you have the cover off,run it with the cover off and be sure the oil pump isn't leaking aswell.
