What's up! First bike!

Picked me up my first bike. 1971 Honda CB500 for $300 with a title. Lots of auto experience, but this will be my first time working on a bike. Most of the parts are there and I plan on giving her the lovin' she deserves. Name is John.

Honestly the motor is concerning me. Didn't notice till I got it home, but it looks like someone started to take the top end apart. The valve cover was just sitting on the motor, which I noticed. It cranks over and feels good. Just to be safe I most likely will rebuild the top end.
