1978 CB750K carburetor fuel inlet seats
« on: December 24, 2014, 02:54:53 PM »
Does anyone know of a source for new seats for the fuel inlets on the 1978 CB750 K carburetors.  It appears that they are pressed in. I have taken out the idle jets with no problem so I assume the needle seats must have been pressed in as well. It's not rocket science.

There is not a readily available alternative for them.  Luckily, unless they have been abused i.e. sandblasted, or gouged then it's not a problem.  The PD model carbs use a rubber tipped valve also as opposed to a metal tip, so it can give you some degree of forgiveness compared to a metal tip which will not conform at all.  You can attempt to polish the seats to remove any micro pitting.  With new float valves you should be ok.
