MotoGPWerks selling Stainless CB400F pipe
« on: March 06, 2014, 05:31:28 PM »
There has been a lot more discussion about 400Fs lately. I wanted to share that Chris has made up some YRS CB400F replica pipes.

I knew from the 550 guys that when he says his is only making a few, he means it.  Even though the motor for this will not be finished for three or four months, I jumped.  I just received mine today and it is beautiful.

Based on the pictures and measurements I have collected of the original YRS pipe, it appears to be almost an exact replica in stainless.  Pipe and muffler weighs about 10 pounds, half of my stock pipe and muffler.

If you want to look, the listing on EBay is:

Great to see more companies building products for the 400F

Doesn't look like the pipes have to come off when changing oil filter.  Now someone is thinking.

He just put up stainless replicas of the Winning 6>1 pipe for the CBX on eBay too for $700, which looks like a solid deal to me. Great to have another resource.

Thats a good looking pipe but it would be cooler if the head pipes swept to the right side before the collector like a stocker.

Yep I saw this today too! If I didn't have an original yrs already I'd jump on this in a second. Looks super nice. Yoshima definitely was thinking when he made this exhaust. Really is tuned and works! He also bent the headers so you can change the oil filter without taking the whole system off. Duh. Oh and no, definitely not cooler if they swept to the right. Keep the originals for that.  In my opinion this is THE exhaust the have for the cb400f if modified. Way sexier than the original.  That's my opinion of course. :)

Yep, Chris makes some great stuff.  I'll be getting one of those swingarms - can't wait.   Also have one of his stainless exhausts for my 750 and contrary to some reports, you can change the oil filter with the pipe on the bike.  Sounds menacing.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.
