CB350f Airbox drain?
« on: January 22, 2015, 07:30:56 AM »
Can anyone tell me the purpose of the drain tube in the bottom of my 350f airbox? My CB750 didn't have this.

What is this supposed to drain? My bike was missing lots of parts when I got it, including this tube. Is it supposed to be plugged normally? It seems like it would let in unfiltered air if not plugged.

Thanks for any answers you can give.

the 400 and 550 have a engine breather kondensator for oil fumes,,
,so the damp kondens dovn in the bottom of the filter..and can be tapped off in a blind line..it use the vaccum in the air intake to operate...im not inn the 350 four,,its a erlyer bike..so dont nov..abaut it have the same..system

Its just that, a drain tube.
The 350F did not have the breather/separator systems like the 400F.
This tube should be blocked, and drained during routine maintenance.

Thanks guys. I knew it didn't seem right to have that open to air. I'm prepping for first start up in 20+ years and want everything to be right.
