I enjoy the progress you are making on that nice looking CB400F strynboen;it has nice paint and graphics  8)
Good Job on the headlight and rear sig./taillight bracket modification also.I'm doing the same thing to my rear taillight mount bracket but moving the signals(they will be separate rubber mounted ones mounted directly to the taillight bracket after I weld some reinforcing plates onto the sides of the taillight bracket)down a little closer to the number plate.I am also doing it to give me clearance for luggage rack.

Thats a very long ride on a bike you just bought! Like really! But an adventure is always fun!

I like the cb400f as stock. That's i how i keep mine. No need to cafe it.

*Got the exhaust polished nicely and got myself a sidecover this year!

nice bike you have.

.i need a handle like yours..think a thomaseli vill fit..have one on my 550..there are not many things to improve on a 400 four..the looks are perfekt...i have a old orginal exhost..but the crome are bad..have painted it.but crome are the only real vay...
the deeptone marchall on my nev bike are almost fine..but have some small rust unterneth..
have veldet and paintet the front sidesignals..it are one of the small bad looking parts on a orginal bike..but hold them..can just not thange that..

long no posts...
have thanged the handel to a more straight one..the cross vas to vide..have thanged pistons sleevers head..from a spare engine...and have now no damp from the breather..kaburettors got a klean up too...
the bike runs still nor perfekt..110 kmt is top..so think i have a problem..have testet the ignision..advancer got new springs..and flash pistol gives a korrekt fire point..so have to run some km on the bike to get it run up..to see if it frees up...have made some cam thain tension bolts..but it is not perfekt..think my bottom thain is vorn aut too...

Ping MoMo on the site, he's done several 400/4s and knows them well. Maybe he can help you trouble shoot the issues and offer suggestions?

yes my Winter job is reverse up Down.. the engine..and go in from the bottom..and build inn, a new bottom thain, and use the krankshaft from my spare engine..vith plain bearings..so i have moved all good parts( exc the gearbox and eng housing )from my  spare engine..
hope to keep cylenders and pistons and head komplet..and do all Work from the underside..to safe all gaskets..its all new at the top end
