Forward controls
« on: October 13, 2014, 08:34:05 AM »
I just inherited my uncles cb750 chopper and am in love with it the problem I am having is that I am almost a foot taller than him.  This means that the mid controls are a bit cramped for me.  There are brackets for highway pegs welded on to the frame.  My idea I to use them as mounting points for my forward controls.  I have hear of using the controls for a sportster for this but they are a little spendy for my tastes, has anyone made there own forward controls?  I want them done before my trip to see my family living up north about 350 miles away.  I will also be chaining the handle bars for something a bit lower and swapping the grips.

So I know this is ancient but I made some head way I picked up a set of Harley  forward controls and will be installing them.  The brake is cable actuated on the controls and I thought it would be easier to convert the bike to cable then work out linkage for the rod to cable. Anyone have any ideas on this?
