1980 cb650c transmission question
« on: February 11, 2015, 08:33:07 AM »
Another question as I'm new to motorcycles. I have 1980 cb650c hasn't been driven yet. Not running. The transmissions question: motor off...shifting into gears I can go neutral (wheels moves freely) 1st 2nd and 3rd I can hear and feel in the pedal it goes into gear ( have had a motorcycle before) but into fourth the pedal has full motion but seems dead. Like nothin is engaging. Is that normal? Cause bike is off or what's probable cause??

try moving the bike forward or spinning the wheel to engage the gears.
