Fischer... Just some observations. I do not claim to be better than you in building in anyway first off. Really, like me to you, you don't matter to me. And you should not. We build similar, but in TOTALLY different areas of the country. So therefore I DO NOT HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING TO YOU, NOR YOU TO ME.

Before you get all hot: Also know that I know how messy the code is on my web site. It is not the beat all end all by any means and needs serious help.

just some suggestions:

1. Get with one of the many members on the board that build web sites, there are many here (something I plan to do this winter). I will not critique your site because I am not attempting to make enemies here.

2. Get some finished project photos of your projects on your web site. Looking at your stuff I am sure they look a lot better now than the pics you have on the web site. This is just based on your dates. Other web builders will tell why dating things is bad. I keep from it when possible.

3. Get on your own .com, this will give you better exposure and make things look more professional. I know this only because I started Reedsburg Photography www.reedsburg-photography.com on a freebie site and then later moved it to a .com. This has brought me biz that I don't even ask for.

4. You are an LLC according to your site. If you have a facility, you can get set up as a dealer for new stuff that can generate thousands of dollars of income over time. This can be tricky to get set up, but it worth it. I know as I am doing just this right now.

For reference I NEVER GIVE ANY TYPE OF "how to supercharge your biz to anyone".

Hey Cheapo,

"I don't care"... "F@ck you"...."Nerd"......

Whats up with all this?

Lifes short, Why spend it all wound up...... ??? ???

Some of this is my competitive drive. Some is just me being a hot head (which I am known for - still working on that). Truth of the matter is in person. If a fellow SOHC member was riding through, and gave me a call, I would gladly do the rescue with the trailer at a moments notice and just about give away parts if I had them to get them back on the road. Plus give them the shop to work in like they were family.

My customer disputes have been minor to date. 1. Was a matter of shipping over cost. For reference. Drift did at first get all of his money back on the gauge faces, he then later sent a message and paid via pay pal the actual cost of shipping and the price of the faces. His Karma is clear as far as I am concerned. 2. Was one from Kiwi land which I will not give anymore details than I shipped the part (slow) and gave the guy back his money. No word from him so far.  ??? Who cares, you have to be ready to take the losses.

KG I give you big points for stepping up and making smooth, you had me pretty hot there in a few threads.

Trying to unwind as I work on the shop mudding in all the walls. Much harder than it looks, then to put time on a NEW bike. I just got hooked up with a Victory, nice bike. Just glides like a dream. I know I am not a fan of the v twin but this thing is nice. Will ease the miles put on my K5 and Home Wrecker. The weather has changed here for the warmer this afternoon so it will make a nice ride.

If it says anything, I am the good and bad of my sign...(scorpio - like no one knew) I make no excuses for me or my actions. Sometimes there is not one. But you are right that I am passionate about this whole thing. I work while others ride. But there are times when people are trapped in the cubicle while I ride like a fool with all the money in the world.

I sincerly do not intend to rip off my customers in anyway.

You guys see the fire here, if someone wanted to step to the base on any of my fellow SOHC brothers on here at a ride we went on, they would have to get through me and that's not all that easy.

So when I get burned by a member here it really hurts and it is heard by my wife first hand like we sat in the bar havin drinks and you started a fight.

Just a thought for all of us on this great board......

The posts that start the most ruckus involve posts that seem to the person reading them as......shall we say....unprovoked.

Its that comment or percieved slight that "sails" out of the blue leaving most going WTF was that about?

Theres wayyy too many other folks for us to pick on.  ;D

DG is just mad because somehow in my sleep I magically remove threads to conspire against him. Notice these are the ones he links to.  ;) MUHAHAHAHAHA
Conspire against me? It looks like you are covering up a lie that you have made up. The easiest way to prove me wrong would be to post the Dyno results.

I removed them because I did not want to offend the thin skined ;D

Well, It sure looks like you removed post because you don’t have any Dyno results, if you talk the talk, you need to walk the walk and back up what you claim.
How would removing a claim of Dyno results offend the thin skinned? Maybe the thinned shinned one is the one who post that they have Dyno results and then never actually post them. A thin skinned person would just remove all mention of it and hope it is forgotten about.

just some suggestions:

You mean I can’t just shim it to fit with some washers? Precision work there, pal. Ought to be REAL safe.

the biggest problem is bickering between several people... there was a comment about bygones being bygones made earlier that should be heeded..

perhaps you are right duster... they should take it somewhere else.

maybe policing all the flame wars as of late has gotten my feathers a bit ruffled.  i'll think about it.  (also, why i wrote a warning... in case you guys wanted to get your punches in now)

;D ;D ;D I think you have the hang of the job  ;D

An opinion  - I agree with DD, sometimes guys have to blow it off occasionally, then they're reset and grinning. That seems normal. :)  The byegones be bygones though is a good idea - if you take it to its logical conclusion - if you cut people out permanently , eventually you will be alone and thats not normal.

Besides, they're great entertainment for the rest of us ;D

How bout we knock it off gents?

Seriously lets remember we all love the same things...motorcycles and SOHC Hondas in particular.

A little maturity would go a long ways. Lets think about how we phrase our questions and responses.

Its not a question of being politically correct its a question of not pissing off all the people who are our friends.

Even if some people here are not friends ...the moderators provide an excellent service. How bout if theres an issue between members they take it somnewhere else so at very least we don't make the owners/ moderators life miserable?

I bet they have better things to do then babysit. Like ride and wrench  ::) ;D

Wanna know why we Yanks act as we do, we had a great teacher:

Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

I will ignore you like I should have from the start. If you had just one, just one brain cell and the ability to read...... then you would know that they usually had to be shimmed to make the duel disc set up work correctly. Prescison, Just like your paint jobs.

You are........... aw #$%* it is just beyond words.... GROW UP MAN..... For reference I would not sell you one damn bolt....EVER. I never forget ignorant people who piss me off. Simple, from here on you just do not exist.

The gloves are off, I stepped to trying to be nice to you. Nolonger, you are starting to remind me of someone.... MMMMMMM SiliconDoc maybe?

I have a biz to run that is running me at 20 hour days to run rather than argue with you, maybe you should go run yours.

Dont stop the car now, I'm pushin him out  ;) ;D

That is funny! Although I thought that the descriptive 'skinhead' was an English-ism.

no no..."DG, I understand you have a beef with EC, but what's that got to do with a three legged dog taking a poop on the ice?  It really wouldn't be fair to put a three legged dog on a dyno, would it" was funny!

I actually laughed outloud!!! The people outside my office looked at me like I was more than a little offkilter...

I feel better now...all that negative energy diffused by the thought of a 3 legged dog on a dyno...

a look back on this thread leads me to the conclusion that it is fine... after my remarks things have become a bit heated but, who cares.  cheapo and dg:  duke it out... call each other names... but, just know, the more you do it on here (publicly) i would bet your business reflects that.

no-one wants to deal with a hothead... whether you started it or not.
