Honda area types
« on: April 19, 2015, 08:59:43 PM »
I've seen this in service manuals and I haven't been able to locate a decoder for them.

Area type:  E, ED, F, G, DK, DM, SA, U  ???

What do they represent?  Taking a WAG, E = England??  SA = South Africa  DK = Denmark  U = USA???  Am I in the ballpark here?

I can matter because some of the assembly instructions are coded to a specific area type - presumably due to the differing components to meet each areas laws.

Thank you very much.

Is this 'area type' part of the VIN?
