Noob here. Cannot get bike started.
« on: April 30, 2015, 10:04:09 AM »
Hey guys. New to this board. Starting off by saying Hi. My problem is, I have a 77 cb750 I've had sitting for 3 years. Yesterday I spent alot of time trying to get it started again, but it just would not fire up. I noticed gas would come out the bottom of one of the middle carbs every 20 seconds or so....not sure what that means, but it drained all my gas. Got it going for maybe 2-3 seconds with carb cleaner, but would not stay on. Played with the tuning most the time though. Just no luck. Not sure where to start is pretty much my question? No experience working on these Hondamatic bikes.

Note: Has open exhaust if that makes a difference.

well it runs on carburetor choke cleaner so I would say you have a fuel problem first thing you need a manual if you have a manual start with the carburetors more than likely they need to be taken apart and cleaned and reassembled to read that section since you have one carb that has gas coming from the bottom of it that would suggest the float is stuck carbs need to be cleaned and thats  where I would start at Jim
