thanks scottly,  looks like the entire kit is right around 225 on ebay-that is carb, throttle and mounting flange. Have to see how the bike performs as is before spending money for a carb.   I can get a repop period style tank for the same money...

EBay has not recovered from the breach and people are not buying like they once did... EBay has jacked up their fees and a lot have left them and not returned
don't know where they went.

thank you, it will remain basically as is, I have longer Progressive rear shocks to install as well as new quieter mufflers,  I'll remove the highway pegs and install lower not so swept back handlebars and then go cruising for burgers ::)...Larry

starts 1st kick every time nobodies watching and settles into a nice 900 rpm idle after a minute.

My XR500R's like that Ken, but as soon as someone's watching, that's another matter.......... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I'd pay to take that old Trumpy for a ride! (I should try to just pay folks for rides on their bikes, that'd be much cheaper than buying them............) ;D
