750f ignition coils
« on: June 08, 2015, 03:37:11 PM »
I need to replace the original coils on a 1977 750f. Can anyone recommend a coil to buy?

If you don't get Honda's own, these work very well: go to PartsNmore.com and look up this number under the CB750F listing: #17-6823

They are a dead match parameter for the OEM coils, electrically speaking. You will find the wire connectors to be "backward", but even if you just plug them in so the genders match, they will work fine. Be sure to get new sparkplug caps, too, in the 5000 (5k) ohm type. The ones for the "F are #VD05F and #SD05F. ;)

I've used these parts on several of our bikes, and they work perfectly!
See SOHC4shop.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.
