swing arm pivot bolt compatibility?
« on: July 04, 2015, 06:48:00 PM »
Had to hammer out my old one and damaged it pretty bad. I have a 77 year and I ordered a 78 from a K serious 750, and it is too short. I assume now that the frames differ from the Hondamatic and the clutch version cb's? It's been kinda difficult to specifically find a 1977 swing arm pivot bolt, but I've found a 1976 hondamatic bolt, but a lil nervous to order. Any help on bolt compatibility?

Motogrid.com Go to the Honda parts page.

Find your part number on the left side. Copy and paste it to the right side. Hit 'enter'. Viola - cross-referenced. Exact match.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

This is probably your best bet.  I dont think new ones are available.  The 76 is too short cause that year didnt have the aluminum covers that the rear foot peg mounts to.

77 cb750A swingarm pivot bolt part# 90121-393-770

Or take it with you to a salvage yard and try to find one that matches.  But I would expect it would cast about the same as the bolt/swinarm combo above.
