It is our Tail of the Dragon. In this area all the roads are twisty. We rarely go straight.

Nice ride Mr. R. Excellent soundtrack as well. A good example of why we ride IMO. 8)

That's a nice area, thank for sharing.

We picknicked on Bear Mountain in 1998, is the Goat trail part of the park?

Actually the Goat Trail leads to the Bear Mountain Bridge which crosses the Hudson.
Once we crossed the Bridge there is a traffic circle you can see. Bear Mountain Park is off to the right. We went up the Palisades Parkway

The road leading up to the top of Bear Mountain is nice and windy with no guard rails. I have a video of that one also.

Nice combo of the ride and music. Good job.

Sorry for my oversight all this time, but only just now noticed your dedication to Sgt. Howard Bruckner. If we had a thumbs up emoticon, I'd use it.

Thank you Bob. He was a great guy, very funny and a good person.

I mentioned the road that goes up to the top of the Mountain, here is a video of that road. This time I am in the lead.

Small world. Born and raised on Long Island but left for college then drafted. Haven't been back since. But,  while still living there, friends of my parents had a small cottage on Bear Mountain. I think it was called Cherry Valley or something like that. Good times. Probably all condos or townhouses now.  ;)

It is a small world Bob and it is a beautiful area. You were at least smart enough to get drafted. ;) ;) ;)
