He may polite and honest in emails, but what can you say about a guy who blatantly embellishes the facts. He thinks this KO is more rare than a sincerest because there were fewer of the KO's made. Actually there were 7400 sand casts and 53400 KOs', so I don't know why he would say that unless he was ignorant or a liar and a cheat.

Very true. I think he has jumped on the CB fade to make quick money but has very limited knowledge??

Can anyone tell me the difference between a 69 KO and a 70 KO. Was there a specific VIN on the motor or frame that designated the year model change or was it just one production run for 69-70? How many CB750s were sold as 69 models?
The seller claims to have owned 8 sandcasts and just sold #24 for $65K

More like 38ish k of diecast KO and 7400 sandcast.
 They made around 20K of bikes in 69, but probably nearly a third were sold as 70 models..
To me if it has a 69 build date, I can say it's made in 69..

Of the 53400 or so KO'S produced not all were not DIECAST, as they were perfecting their casting technic's. The bike in the pic's has a single cut front fender,a 1972 Seat, The shocks have been replaced, should be painted black on the bottom. Looks like a nice bike but will need a bit of work due to rust, which can get in every were including the cylinders,valve faces,inside the break drum and the lower cross bar of the frame. Just saying as might not be the case but for education of things to check out when purchasing one of these old bikes. Looked at a sand cast about 10 years ago down near TAMPA, FLA, 6,233 miles on it,stored in a garage, not climate controlled. Due to the heat and damp environment Just about nothing was salvageable. Well I ended up with the side covers which were warped and I would not take anything else.

I'm not understanding that. 38ish and 7400 would be 45400ish. There were 53400 KO"s made and 7400 sand casts. If 20K bikes were made in 69 and 1/3 were 70 models that means roughly 6666 were 70's, 7400 were sand cast, leaving approx. 5934 1969 KO models or a production of only 13,334 1969 models and 46734 1970 KO models. Still not buying that production increased by 200%.
Are my numbers skewed because the sand cast is also considered a KO?
When did they change from diecasts to the newer method?

One of my KO'S is a diecast no# bike. As to say no numbers on the exhaust pipes,no numbers on the carb bodies.

I see examples go 1969 models that had a 17000 VIN number on the engine and had a manufacture date of 12/69 and was registered as a 1969. I assume then that no 1970 models were manufactured in 1969. I believe the 1969 model years started production in 6/69. Answer or correct me as you will.

1-Sandcast ended approx #7414
2-All the 750 after were die-cast
3- I have a K0 with a build date of 1/70 that has a frame #20293 and an engine #20200

As far as the partsbook say KO ends around 44,6** or 46,8**.......going by memory here..
Pretty sure I have a motor /frame that is 200 or so from end of KO..
 Where is this 53 k number coming from? Anything in the 5*,*** range should be K1.    Correct me if I am wrong..

I asked NestG what his reserve is at and told him I missed it when it was listed at 1k. He responded by saying it was never listed for 1k.???? LOL. So much for being upfront.

Yes, very.

So other than Sandies, K5 is most "rare".   More K1's manufactured that any other but not many around for sale. [I only have 1]
