Progress!
The swingarm wasn't too grizzly to start with, but it had some rust. Needed new (bronze) bushings and is destined for the powder coaters. So I set to stripping it down last night.

I cleaned off the grease first and then several rounds of aircraft remover. It did an OK job, even with me working against it (long-short-story). After an hour at it I gave up the chemicals and moved to the wire wheels and elbow grease with the results shown below.

There doesn't seem to be any saving the pivot bolt or endcaps though, the bolt is pretty ragged and the end caps are toasty too. I've contacted Mark Paris (Our own Honda Man) about doing a rebuild and if I'll need to do any additional shopping for the swingarm before I send it off for the work.

Tomorrow (I hope) I'll start stripping more parts and get the rest sorted. I've still got a few things to buy that I was missing when I got the bike, and plenty of things to rebuild/replace/recoat so the build will be moving slowly as funds allow, but we'll see how far I can get on elbow grease this week.  :P

Update:
Well, things have been at a standstill, we moved this spring and  long story short I still don't have a garage space setup at the new house. But I do have everything packed away and ready to go. When I last left off I was very nearly ready to have the frame etc powder coated, I just needed to finish welding in my frame split.

Hopefully by next spring I will have a shop setup and be back to it!
