All those bikes and only 1 battery? C'mon man!

Soon I hope to be down to a more manageable number.  You need one I got as nice or rusty as you want it at a good price too.

I need to downsize too, I'm losing (free) storage space by the end of the year.

That is why we got  to team up and rent a place down there.  I help with the rent.  You show my bikes to prospective buyers for a fee of course and everyone is happy.   :)  Might be a non issue soon enough though.  Just sold a 350f for $200.

Got a CB750 with a title that I am willing to sell for another $200.  Owner removed the casting junk in the head to give it extra kick.  That is the only part I want off that bike the head.  The 18" rear rim would be nice too.

I've looked into renting storage space down here, not cheap.  Austin is booming so everything is expensive.

I found a place

http://austin.craigslist.org/prk/5228148395.html

How long is it going to take me to sell one down there?

That place looks like a "Park and Gone"!

Ok, it took me a while to get around to it but I found in my used bulb collection two 27watt blinker bulbs and installed them in my rear blinkers and hey presto my blinkers always blink when I'm sitting at the traffic lights now. With the engine off they now blink once before just staying on - I think if I could find a set of four 25watt bulbs they would flash even without the engine running (I currently still have 21watt bulbs in the front two so I'm still 2watts short: 21+27=48 25+25=50).
p.s. My flasher can is a brand new genuine oem item from hongkong (cost me $65!).

 :( :( :o :o I hope that is a typo.

:) No typo- the cheap two pin flasher can I bought from an auto parts store burned out before I even got to ride the bike. The three pin flasher can available for cars is different - the third pin is for the pilot light (or single dashlight), where as on the bike it is an earth. Here in Australia 'cheap' flasher cans are $12. The genuine honda 3 pin flasher can was outrageously expensive, but where else would I get one? Converted to US$ it wasn't ridiculously overpriced - under $40

I use my turn signal beeper as a voltage meter. Starts getting slow and anemic I head home and charge my battery or at least keep the rpms up.

Ha! I thought it was just me that did that.

I just went out and took pics of mine. 552 flasher.....2 pin. Most cars pre 80's used em. Priced it at O'Reilly auto parts.....$3.69US. I swapped mine out probably 6 years ago and it works fine running or not. You have to have a good battery and good connections and that includes a good switch. Check the resistance of the circuit. My stock flasher which was probably the one that came with the bike in 1975 used to slow flash at an idle until I put in this 552 flasher and cleaned all 4 signal sockets. If your bike is sitting idling and the signals flash slow but then speeds up when you rev it your headlite is also probably dim and gets brighter. That is a weak battery that needs charged or is getting ready to go south on you. Sorry for the crappy pics but it's kinda dark in the garage right now. You don't need a OEM, 3 pin $60 flasher.

Uhh, guys...there is no beeper on either one of my bikes and I haven't noticed any loose connections flopping around where they might have been if a PO had pulled them.  Where would they be located on the bike?

Speaking of blinker issues, help me figure this one out:

On my Kawasaki H1, the R blinker does not blink above 3000 rpm, below it, works fine. L blinker works fine at any motor rpm.

WTF?

Doesnt really bother me as whenever I'm using the blinker, I'm going relatively slow or stopped anyway. But, thats a crazy one I have not seen before.

The beeper on the older K models was on the backside of the left headlight ear. When I got my bike in 2000 that's the first thing I clipped off!

WTF indeed! That is weird. Might be interesting to take a total ohm reading between the left & right sides and see if there might be a significant difference affecting the blinker function.
