Dime City Tach & Speedo?
« on: December 07, 2015, 10:04:27 AM »
Can anyone give me some info on the Dime City 2.5" tach and speedo? I would like to use these on my '72 CB500. In their description of the tach they say that the 1:7 ratio is correct for the 500. The speedo is listed as 2240@60mph. Are these instruments accurate on a 500/550 or do you have to make mental adjustments? If anyone has experience with these gauges I would be very interested.
  Thanks in advance

CB500 Speedo  2240:60  Tach 20:3

It's a little motor and likes having the tits revved off it.

I used them on a 500 and it was a tight fit with the tach cable. I mounted directly to the triple and had to angle the mini tach so the cable would not be in a bind. The speedo fit fine, nice and straight. This was with stock headlight ears and light bucket. Tried spacers and different things and could not get around it. Just something to keep in mind...
