CB500 four K1 Restoration - Wheels!!!
« on: December 18, 2015, 01:43:21 PM »
Hi, I am new to this forum and am sure that somebody has posed this question before (I just cannot see it):

I am the proud owner of a K2 CB500 four.  It has spent 25 years off the road and I am in the middle of a full nut and bolt restoration (it is my fourth full resto and the most expensive by far).  It looked ok but was in a poor state really.

I am on to the wheels and they need a full rebuild (central wheel components here I come), but I have a dilema regarding rims.  The original size tyre seem to be nearly impossible to source, so I thought I'd go for a more common rim size.

My question is what rims work well in terms of fit and overall handling?  OR Where can I find decent tyres?

many thanks

Jiles
