New source for Dyno tuning
« on: November 10, 2006, 01:26:29 PM »
Guys,

My local Ducati, Triumph, Kawi dealer is building a new  performance shop about two miles from my house.  They are installing a new bike Dyno for race tuning (they sponser a few racers).  Once my new engine is built, they told me that they will help me tune my CR carbs to get the right air/fuel mixture.  I know the owners son fairly well and he told me that he'd hook me up on the price.  Here is a pic of their type of dyno.

Keep in mind the SuperFlow dyno's produce lower numbers than the DynoJet unit.

Keep in mind the SuperFlow dyno's produce lower numbers than the DynoJet unit.

Why is that?  The design of the machine?  Is it something to do with the software?

Because, when my bike was dynoed it was on the same brand of dyno. Therefore, maybe I am actually making more than 74.6 RWHP...

The DynoJet unit would probably give you an extra 3 ...maybe 4. I know a guy that has a SuperFlow unit (it sits in a corner and is never used....boxes piled on it) ::). I nice piece. I like how the blowers are attached to the drum for ram air simulation. That option isn't shown in pic on this thread.

I should get a pic of the dyno I used at Godspeed. Four huge rollers placed under the floor for testing four wheel vehicles. Manually disengage one set of rollers for testing motorcycles. All the software equipment on a seperate rolling cabinet. With the metal safety covers over the rollers it looks like a empty garage with a computer in the corner.
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame
