Super sidewinder exhaust fitting issues
« on: February 09, 2016, 08:09:05 AM »

Hey guys,

I just got on to fitting that sidewinder (Cyclex) exhaust to my k1 cb750... The thing is... When bolted down, it kinks towards the frame and the slip on leans right up against the frame

This picture is with only one stud on cyl 1 tightened down. Once all tightened, it gets worst!

I need help understanding what i am doing wrong. All crush washers are well seated in exhaust port. But for some reason... It just doesn't fit. This is not saying i also had to stretch the #$%* out of 1 and 4 to get it in since they were at least half an inch off center.

Now this is the conversation i Had with Ken at cyclex, and he is sure cyl 1 exhaust is not in the port Looking at the picture which in turn creates the problem i am relating to...

I got back to the bike to check it out...
And came to the same conclusion...
The only way cyl 1 could be more in the exhaust port, would be for it to get shoved in the throat... Which is not gonna happen...

So when cyl 1 is like this...

And again

Cyl 4 would have to be NOT seated like this

For the exhaust to point out like it should

So...

Any hints that could help me figure out whats going on here??

Thanks guys!
