Don dirt biker paint kit question
« on: February 18, 2016, 09:25:48 AM »
For those that have used his kits - does the tiny pouch of metal flake go in the candy coats before the final clear or is it added to clear after the candy coats and before a final clear coat?   Painting today
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

I'm not sure about your "kit", but the metalflake paint jobs I've done involve spraying a silver base, followed by the raw metal flake mixed with clear to spray as the next stage, followed by the candy color sprayed over the 'flake to achieve the color.  A few coats of clear, then sanded smooth after it dries, followed by a few more final coats of clear.
