I'm helping a friend search CL to find a Polaris Trailblazer 250 ATV and he's in Pittsfield,MA. I've given him many contact ph.#'s from CL adds out-of -state(NY state,NH,VT.)and they won't call him back.. I just want to know is it common for CL sellers to be scared to sell out-of-state ?

I started this thread kind of out of frustration.. We don't mind taking cash and driving out of state to check-out an item for sale on CL;Nathan doesn't know how to use a computer,he lives 500 miles north of me and sometimes i help him find something.I found him an International tractor on CL in NY. state and that wasn't too hard.I'm just asking generally,do CL sellers just not like to deal with people out of their area ?

Just have someone drop off a deposit for him to hold it that is what I would do.  Next thing would be to go to the local library, BOCES or community college and learn to use a computer.

You are at a disadvantage today not being able to use these machines.  Computer literacy is the new reading.  Sad but true.

Nathan has always lived at home & real close to his Mom who just passed a yr. ago,his Dad died 2 yrs. ago,I was closer to his Dad for over 20 yrs. Nathan is 60 yrs. old and his Mom hated computers;it's a weird situation.He lives alone at home now.
He just got out of the hospital 1 month ago for open-heart surgery(he only had 1 good working heart-valve so now he has two and he's recovering)so I'm wanting to try to help him 'get going' again and he loves snowmobiles and 2-strokes.He used to own a Polaris Trailblazer 250 and he wants another one;he was bummed-out this past Winter because he didn't get any snow up there to ride his SkiDoo 'MXZ' snowmobile and would like to sell it and get this type of quad.I'll just keep trying to find him a decent one.

I've called and left messages for these 'sellers' and I would then call Nathan up in MA. and he tried but no response.. I guess they must have sold it and never removed the add
