have any tried to use this teller formed discs..vho get a hammer cnock,, and then make a press teighting,,by deform a bit..think they vas a better idea then the rubber pucks..vho often not is korrekt/aftermarked bad kvality..they are easy to remove...just drill them and carefull breake them up--
please translate/korrekt my vriting :P

brass.
I made some out of brass to go under some undersized pucks.
I eventually found some pucks with adequate thickness, and did not use these shims.

Hey that's a pretty interesting idea, to use freeze plugs to replace the sealing pucks entirely.

I'm only familiar with using these in automotive engines with steel blocks, do they use these on aluminum engines also?  I'd be worried about deforming the hole from applying enough force to achieve an oil-tight seal.

Aluminum plugs would be better to keep the expansion rates similar...

yes made in 3mm aluminium vill be perfekt.. dont hurt the alu cast..so steel plugs is not perfekt..i think....but how thik can they be..to fit inn the engine
