Do not torque just push it down with your hand and check.
If clearance is very close, the dowels can prevent it from pulling down or maybe even tweak the head..put stripes in 4 places.

Side note this stuff works wonders even on thick gaskets

1 st test failed and was kind of like a control

Every strip thickness came out but there was no pressure applied to the top of the cylinder head.
2nd-5th test succeeded in tearing the paper with body weight applied. Even one strip of paper could not slip out

Also paper doesn't compress really well.. It can be volatile

Quick question if I torque down my cylinder head and forgot the last bolt, would I need to start over again? There 13 all together and I forgot this little straggler

K so thread 13 from the previous picture was stripped and I just got it fixed by a shop. But I'm not sure if I should have waited before torquing down.  The minimum torque specs for the head is 14.5 ft/lbs. I've been torquing everything every 2-3 lbs starting at 7 then 10, 12, and 14.5. Everything is torquing down good except for bolt #13. I can't get past 10lbs and I'm wondering if there is like a curing process for thread repairs. Is the 13th bolt really that important to torque down?

I have no experience with the 350's, but on the 550's there are 2 bolts like that on the head, that go into aluminium threads on the cylinder/block. The general consensus with these two bolts seems to be that they should not be tightened to any specific torque specs, but rather just tightened up firmly by hand - as they don't necessarily impact sealing & tightening them to the torque specs listed can lead to those threads stripping out.
That could potentially be why yours was already stripped, but I'm sure someone with experience with the 350's will be able to provide more insight.

I know it sounds dumb but I'd really like an honest  opinion. Can I torque everything down with the exception of the 13th bolt? and I am a little tipsy right now

Cam has to be timed to crank, then start assembling..
