1970 CB 750 airbox to carb boots
« on: May 01, 2016, 10:35:31 AM »
I've read on this site that the airbox to carb boots are numbered 1 to 4, with the number of each facing up. The new carb boots I have are not numbered, so I need some advice as to how these mount. Each has an angled grove in them; how is this oriented with realation to each carb throat?

Also, can the airbox, with carb boots in place, and carbs already mounted to the head, be slid into position easily enough?

Thanks in advance!

The carb intake rubbers to the head are numbered. Here is a pic of the airbox boots. The widest edge goes to the bottom. If these are OEM there will be a seam on the top and bottom. Use that as your reference.
