Bike dies when I turn lights on
« on: May 27, 2016, 04:24:06 PM »
If a ride it for a mile or two I can turn the lights on and all is well. However if I turn the blinkers on with the light on for more than 30 seconds or so the bike will die. The battery is fully charged and reading at 12 volts. Any ideas as to what may be going on?  It's a 73 cb350f.

12v means battery is 80% depleted. Not good.

And after taking the DC measurement, flip the knob on your multimeter to AC volts.  You will likely see a little AC but hope for less than maybe half a volt AC.  Much more indicates a leaky or blown diode in the rectifier and lead acid batteries don't tolerate AC very well.
