 ;D Hi Stu,a nice looking bike here,s a picture of my CB750F1 the 400
fours bigger brother.810cc Yoshi conversion,Russ Collins valve
     springs/gas flowed head,bigger valves,Drilled disc,s,Alloy wheels
Still a bit to do but its getting there bike was stood for 10 years
before I bought it with 16k miles from new,it took quite a long
time & effort to get it back to up & running. In the end I bought
some new carbs from the USA & this did the trick as it fired
straight up & sounded nice & it just got better & better so I
decided to throw some money at it & I think its been well worth
     it regards Asimo ;D ;D

started with a bonneville1979 then two speed triples a 750 and a 900 T300's and a 955sprint rs, but its back to basics now with the 400/4 but its fun keeping them going well there is always something that needs a bit of attention.

and a 955sprint rs
As you can see from my signature, my daily rider is a Sprint ST 955i

5000 miles in the last 3 months: I wouldn't subject my old 500/4 to that sort of abuse!

yes the engine in that 955rs was fantastic, but i didnt keep it long as someone in a ford fiesta ran into me at a roundabout, i was giving way to a vehicle on the roundabout next thing i knew i was sitting on the bonnet of this fiesta!!! only had the triumph a few months, got it rebuilt on the insurance but somehow it never felt quite the same after that.
then i went back to an old T300 speed triple, heavy beast but i like that, take more than a fiesta to crunch one of them ! engine nowhere near as good but there was just something great about them.

Hi all,

It's good to see that there are other UK owners on here!  I'm new here and joined because last year I was crazy enough to go and buy a 1977 Honda CB550F which is in a sorry looking state and has never been registered for use in the UK (Japanese import).  I have never heard it run and there are various bits missing.  I have had it sat in my garage all year and not touched it...and now I find myself trying to motivate myself into getting it running tidying it up and registering it in the UK.  There is probably a lot of work involved but I'm hoping with some encouragement and advice from you guys I will get this machine back on the road where it belongs.

Regards

Daz

Hi Darren. Always pleased to see UK members on here.

Pop over to www.sohc.co.uk as chat to us there as well. It looks the same (same s/w) and has some of the same members. Use the same username so we recognise you.

A bit far from Berks or I'd offer to help!

Happy New Year.

Just seen this thread.
I'm in the West Sussex area and am involved in  (drum-roll here) a K2 resto (smirk and eye roll from the missus).
I'm often out and about on my bright orange Triumph Tiger on sunny Sundays. Most times I drop by at Boxhill, Surrey or Bury Hill, Arundal, Sussex to see who's around.
We should set up a meet. Haven't ventured to the Ace Cafe yet.

Hello Willie.

Read the last post (below) and follow us over to the UK site.

We don't see many hard tails around here (Wokingham) but did snap this one at our local bike show a couple of years ago.

OK.

Looking at that spring I guess it's not a hard tail...   what do you call them (soft tail?)

May well need help and advice from you guys at some stage.
