Those are Henry Abe wheels.  The Shelby Dowd had 6 point stars and Henry Abe had 7 point stars.  They were Japanese made and should have a marking somewhere that says Henry Abe or HAINST.  They are a bit rarer than Lester wheels especially in the 18" rear but not as rare as Shelby Dowd, Cambray, EPM, Hayashi or Kimtab.  They came in silver or black with a machined edge.

Thanks for the info. I think you've nailed it on them being Henry Abe wheels. I looked this morning and the tires are 90/90-19 front and 110/90-18 rear, so pretty much stock sizes. Hmmm, I may have to restore this one...

Is that an early motor? The ribs on the head appear close to the edge of the fins. Couild be my old welders eyes too.

I'll check the VIN and let you know.

The bike's in Moose Jaw now at a friend's who is seeing what it needs... motor has been stuck for MANY years. It might have a big bore kit.

They look like my Henry Abe's.  I think mine are marked with an "HA" on them somewhere if i remember correctly.

no powder, just raw aluminum.  I suspect yours were the black and machined lip variety though. I don't think i've seen many of them like that before.
