Anybody have any can't miss tactics on trapping muskrats in a pond? I think I have to wait for the season even in Sasnak though they are being removed for nuisance purposes.

I heard that float traps are a good way to go, any thoughts?

Dynamite.  Unfortunately it kills everything else as well.  But that's how gramps used to go cat-fishing.
