Where did that come from?
« on: September 14, 2016, 08:49:14 PM »
Hi All - I'm just finishing up a carb tear down on a 400f when this rattles out onto the floor. I can't for the life of me figure out where it came from! Thanks

Is it possibly the anchor for the throttle return spring? It fits between carbs 2 and 3, in a round cavity, and spring hooks around it? I'm guessing, as I own a 750 and 550.

Ahhh I think you're onto something there. It was after a long/dark night of doing my first carb tear-down on this here 400f. That one had me scratching my head for a while haha - Thanks!

Bingo +1 Did the OP attach the spring?

The spring was still attached when I got to it but the internals of the carbs are quite mystery tour including a few replacement bolts which were not quite the right threads. I'm glad this bike came with an extra bank of carbs for spare parts....
